Astrantia major, "the Great Masterwort". I do appreciate the words "major" and "master" associated with this flower, but I think we can do better than wort.
Jolene, from the Dolly Parton masterpiece. "Your beauty is beyond compare, and I cannot compete with you Jolene". Doesn't that seem better suited?
Painted using walnut-based oils on gallery sized canvas (1.5 inches thick). I have painted the sides of the canvas to seamlessly continue the image so that no framing is necessary.
